POLISHED CONCRETE FLOORS
Polished concrete is ideal for interior surfaces that see heavy foot traffic. The surface has been hardened with a chemical densifier and the polishing process leaves the surface as dense as possible. Typical floor maintenance includes dust mopping and periodic wet mopping with mild detegent. There are no coatings to wear off so you can expect many years of service from a polished floor. CEMENTITIOUS Overlays
We use Elite Crete Systems products which can only be purchased by certified installers. Elite Crete Systems products are well engineered to give excellent performance in adhesion and wear resistance. There are three types of overlays we apply to concrete floors.
Micro Finish Overlays leaves a smooth finish that looks like a fresh troweled concrete slab. It can be stained, interally colored, dyed, scored, and sealed. It is also recommended for indoor use only as it would be slippery in ice and snow.
Troweled Overlays are not as smooth as Micro Finish Overlays and can be used indoor or outdoor. These overlays can be applied over tape which is later pulled to show grout lines. Many colors and patterns available.
1/4" Stamped Overlays look like fresh poured stamped concrete. Many stamp patterns and colors are available. Stamped overlays can be applied indoors or outdoors.
dESIGNER EPOXY
Designer epoxy is colored with fine reflective powder and has a mottled swirling effect that changes it's appearance depending on the point of view. There are many colors available. Designer epoxy is great for interior spaces as well as garages.epoxy / broadcast chips
Vinyl colored chips braodcast over colored epoxy then coated with either clear epoxy, urethane or polyaspartic is another design option for interior floors and garages. Again there are many colors to chose from.Acid staining
Acid stains react chemically with concrete to give a mottled look that brings out the character of the concrete. Acid stains can be used indoor or outdoor. A good quality sealer is used to protect the concrete and acid stain from soiling and liquid spills.concrete staining
Micro pigment stains are yet another way to color a concrete floor or cementitious overlay. They are mainly used in water or a solvent such as laquer thinner, acetone or xylene. They can give an even color or a mottled look depending on the customer's preference. We can help you determine which staining method is best for your floor. Again, a good quality sealer is used to protect the floor from soiling and liquid spills.concrete sealing
Concrete surfaces should be protected from the environment. Driveways, patios, and other exterior surfaces should be sealed every two to three years to keep them safe for many years of service. We can clean and reseal these surfaces with a good quality sealer as needed so your investment last as long as it should.Concrete Prep
Carpet Glue and VCT Glue Removal If you are planning on removing carpet or VCT and want to do your own decorative concrete application but don't know what to do about the glue, we can grind the glue off for you.
Concrete Grinding If your concrete floor is too rough, we can grind it to give it a smoother surface. If it is too smooth for epoxy, we can grind it to open up the surface and give it a proflie so the epoxy will adhere to the floor.Wood deck staining and sealing
In addition to concrete, we also stain and seal wood decks using a micro pigment stain and two component urethane sealer.
